One of the biggest lies they'll ever tell you is that "it's not that simple". No matter what it is that you are trying to do - they will find a way to complicate it for you. Because they want to feel better about never having tried.
And yes, doing great things takes effort, and sacrifice, and discipline. But it doesn't mean it's impossible. It doesn't even mean it's complicated. It just means it's hard. But it is simple.
